How much do you charge?
My beginners' lessons are $40/month (or $10/lesson) and intermediate students are $60/month (or $15/lesson). This extra charge helps pay for additional sheet music and master classes prep time.

How long are your lessons?
I block out 30 minutes for each of my students' lessons and I stick to that time slot pretty meticulously. But still come! We'll use our time wisely. If we finish going through the songs you're working on, we'll finish out with rhythm, theory, and sight reading games or guided practice time.
Do you have specific teaching qualifications?
Yes! I am a fully licensed (and practicing) elementary teacher. I took nearly 10 years of piano lessons myself and have been playing piano since I was seven. I have also studied music theory, vocal performance, and choir from beginner to advance since preschool through college.
Can I attend my child' lessons?
Yes and No. If you're there because you just want to be on the same page and can let me be the teacher, go right ahead. I have a comfy couch you're welcome to. If your child is distracted easily and does better one-on-one, but may be better for you to wait outside or in the car. Hey, if you need to run an errand, Ridley's grocery and ACE hardware is a 4 minute drive away.
What if I'm late to a lesson?
If you're late, still come! You get whatever's leftover of your time slot. We'll use our time wisely and make due with what we have.
Recitals... Recitals... Recitals...
I host 3 recitals a year. One in April/May, August/September, and one in December (Christmas).
There are no lessons held on recital weeks, but the fees are the same for my prep time and to cover the fee for renting the recital hall.
I hold them at The Red Balloon Toy Store in North Logan, Utah. They have a very nice recital hall in the back with a stage, spotlights, a grand piano, and a digital piano (for duets).
Anyone and everyone you want to invite is welcome to the recital.
The recitals usually last 30-45 minutes and are generally on a weekday evening. I will let you know at least a month or two in advance.
